We've been listening to your feedback, and we've made some design changes. Prior to this release, OneDrive used a kernel extension for Files On-Demand which is deprecated as of macOS 12.3. Seafile: you need an always on vm, either at home or in the cloud.On January 26 th, we released a new version of OneDrive sync (22.002) on macOS 12.1+ with an updated Files On-Demand experience. If your main computer goes down, your phone and backup computers can still sync with each other. I've been pretty happy with syncthing, but seafile seems to keep getting better and better. That being said, you might also want to look at seafile. I actually use nextcloud now for camera backups (and google photos). Since then, I dropped the camera sync, and now I only use syncthing for orgzly orgmode files.
I had to set syncthing to only sync when charging. In my experience though, syncthing is bit of a battery hog (compared to dropbox).

I had been using syncthing on my android to backup photos. You could setup some self-hosted web-based file manager though. You have to be more proactive with syncthing to configure historyĭropbox has a web interface you can use to access your files as a last resort. Backblaze is your cloud backup, and Time Machine backs up to your local network.
